Privacy Policy
Countrydays counts the days you spend in each country so you never overstay a visa or trip a tax‑residency limit. It does that entirely on your device — with no account, no servers, and nothing about you sent to us.
We built Countrydays to be private by design. It works completely offline on your iPhone. We don't operate a server that holds your data, we can't see where you've been, and we have nothing to sell to anyone.
This policy explains how the Countrydays iOS app (“the app”, “we”, “us”), published by Trizard Tech, handles information. It applies to the app and its Home Screen widget. It does not cover Apple's own services (such as the App Store or iCloud), which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Countrydays needs a little information to do its job. All of it is created and kept on your device. None of it is sent to us or to any third party.
| What | Why the app uses it | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Location | To detect which country you're in each day and build your travel timeline automatically. Processed on‑device; only a country and a date are kept — not a map of your movements. | On device only |
| Trips & counters | The trips, dates, countries, and day‑limit counters you create or confirm. | On device only |
| Photos | Optional. If you attach a photo as evidence for a trip, only that photo is read, and it stays with your trip. | On device only |
| Purchases | Whether you own Countrydays Plus, so premium features unlock. Handled by Apple — we never see your name, card, or Apple Account. | Apple, not us |
We do not ask for or use your name, email, phone number, contacts, address book, or any government or financial identifier.
Country detection is the heart of the app, so location deserves a plain explanation.
Whichever you choose, the raw location is turned into a single result on your device — country + date — and the underlying coordinates are not transmitted anywhere. You can change or revoke this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Countrydays, and the app keeps working with whatever you enter by hand.
Your travel history lives in the app's own on‑device database and in a small shared store the Home Screen widget reads. It is protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing and device encryption.
Countrydays is a general‑audience travel utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Because everything stays on your device, you're always in direct control:
Since we never receive your information, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on a server.
If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and revise the “Effective” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in a new version of the app.
